We integrate education, training, academic guidance, personal support and athletic exposure into a structured pathway. Our purpose is to help each student-athlete move forward with clarity from their school years through higher education, strengthening both athletic performance and overall personal development.
GSU connects students, families, educational institutions, coaches and sports organizations to build responsible, personalized and results-oriented processes. More than promoting talent, we develop disciplined, prepared young people who are ready to take advantage of opportunities both on and off the field.
Why We Exist
Talent is not enough.
Of every 100,000 high school athletes, only about 10 earn a full college scholarship. The difference is not talent — it’s discipline, planning, family support and a strategy that connects each student’s abilities with real opportunities. That’s what GSU builds around every athlete, ensuring academic standards are never sacrificed in the name of athletic excellence.

GSU is built on the experience of a team with more than 35 years of work in athletic development, academic support and the preparation of young athletes in international environments — with relationships built in more than fifteen countries and a deep understanding of the needs of students and families seeking academic and athletic opportunities outside their home countries.

Our support covers every stage of the process: initial assessment, athletic planning, academic monitoring, physical and mental preparation, video analysis, competition, visibility among coaches and guidance throughout admissions and scholarship processes.

Our Founders
A vision that unites education and sport.
Global Sports United was born from the experience and vision of its co-founders, George Alerte and Jorge Patricio Alerte — mentors committed to the holistic development of young athletes. For more than 35 years, they have worked in athletic and educational processes across different international contexts, identifying a common need: many young people have talent, but they need guidance, discipline, academic monitoring and a clear route to better opportunities.
From that experience GSU was created — an organization built to connect athletic potential with education, personal growth and international projection, walking alongside each student and family through every stage of the process, helping them make responsible decisions and build a sustainable path in and beyond sport.
President & Co-Founder
George Alerte
George Alerte specializes in sports management, international relations and the development of strategic alliances that create academic and athletic opportunities for student-athletes. His work focuses on connecting young talent, families, educational institutions, coaches and sports organizations with development and exposure programs in the United States.
At Global Sports United he leads institutional relations, partnership development, recruiting and international expansion — building pathways that prepare students to compete, study and advance toward university opportunities. He has also been part of the sports model of Southeastern Preparatory Academy in Florida, strengthening connections with institutions, leagues, universities and high-performance programs.
Co-Founder & Vice President of Operations
Jorge Patricio Alerte
Jorge Patricio Alerte has more than 35 years of experience in athletic development and the mentoring of young athletes. His track record includes work and participation in processes developed across more than fifteen countries, integrating athletic preparation, academic monitoring and personal guidance.
His methodology helps each student-athlete advance through an organized process that combines discipline, technical development, physical preparation, mental training and academic responsibility.
